- -While the spaghetti cooks, move on to preparing the meatballs.
Step 2: Prepare the Meatballs
-
- -Quickly cook meatballs in a skillet with 1 tbsp oil over medium heat until browned on all sides (about 5–6 minutes).
Step 3: Make the Jollof Sauce
- -Once the meatballs are browned, add Kwikish Jollof Paste and ¼ cup water. Stir until smooth.
- -Bring to a simmer, then cover and cook for 5 minutes.
Step 4: Combine and Serve
- -By now, the spaghetti should be done. Drain it and add it directly into the skillet with the sauce and meatballs. Toss until evenly coated.
- -Serve warm, garnished with fresh parsley, sliced chillis or a drizzle of chili oil for extra heat (optional).
Chef’s Tips
- -Time-Saving Multitasking: Starting with the pasta reduces overall cook time. Everything comes together while the spaghetti cooks.
- -No Fuss Option: Use store-bought pre-cooked meatballs to shave off even more time.
- -Extra Veggies: Add frozen mixed vegetables to the pasta water during the last 2–3 minutes of cooking for a complete one-pot meal.
